In the 80s I made a shit load of money betting hockey. Back then you didn't bet on the ML. The lines were as follows...

NY Rangers 1.5/2 Washington.

If you bet the Rangers you layed 2 goals.

If you bet Washington you got +1.5 goals.

There was no juice.

I used to LOVE betting on Edmonton back when it was Gretzky, Messier, and Kurri. They were winning Cups and they were winning games big like 7-1 or 8-2. They had many lines of -2/-2.5 or -3/-3.5 and trust me when i tell you those were rare and very seldom seen except for Edmonton games!

Me too. Especially when the Oilers played a lousy team. The Oilers were stacked. Great offense. Great goalie. And of course Wayne owned the puck.
