  • KB's Nascar Matchup from Kansas Speedway

Nascar Matchups YTD 22-20 -1.75 units
    Race winners 0-1 -1 unit

    For today........

2* Dale Earnhardt Jr. -140 over Jamie McMurray

Jamie McMurray's car has been pretty much junk since he unloaded on Friday. He posted the 40th and 39th fastest times in the two practices and rolls off 30th for today's race. Dale Jr. won at Chicagoland earlier in the year, and this track is very similar to Chicagoland, as close as one track gets to another track on the circuit. Jr. posted the 14th and 20th fastest times in the 2 practices. Jr. rolls off 38th but that doesn't bother me too much as he just has not qualified well at all this year. Both drivers have had some success here in the past with both posting top 10 finishes here last year. I think it could be close but I think Jr. gets the better finish here!

1* Elliot Sadler -135 over Rusty Wallace

I really don't know why I bet against Rusty as he has seemed to bite me in the ass every wager I place against him this year. Elliot Sadler was 21st in the first practice and 1st in the second practice. Sadler had a strong qualifying effort and will start on the outside of the front row after being nudged off the Bud Pole by Matt Kenseth. Rusty ran 29th and 22nd in the two practices and starts the race from the 33rd position. Sadler finished 3rd in this race last year while Rusty came in at 18th. I look for Rusty to have a pretty solid run as his team has made good changes to his car to get him near the top 10 week in and week out, but I think Elliot has a top 5 run and will cross the finish line ahead of Rusty here!

    Good luck everyone!

Maybe one day before the season ends I will realize that the #8 team is a play against not a play on!! Rusty again bites me in the a$$! 0-2 on the day for -4.15 units brings the YTD total to 22-22 for -5.90 units.

Don't worry about it my man, you'll get em... I didn't have the sack (or the internet with time) to put any picks today on Kansas. They weren't up when I needed them to be and just sort of got swept up in NFL madness today.
Kansas is a slightly boring race to me, I just flipped to it occasionally; was it good?
My girlfriend thinks I'm weird because I tend to like most of the drivers, and have a high respect for most of them (save for Terry Labonte, and Kyle Petty) as competitors...

I'm still high on my big bets today (not posted, since I just copied people's) of the Colts, Green Bay, and the Pats (that one barely came through). Hope everything else went well for you today...

I didn't do anything else except take Jax -3 tonight. It wasn't a bad race. Dale Jr. caused a wreck early on and tore up his left rear fender pretty bad. After that he was a NON-FACTOR and fell off the lead lap early and never to recover. Rusty Wallace had a jack break during one of the early pit stops and fell back to 38th place but kept digging and next thing you know he was solidly running in the top 10 as Elliot Sadler kept sliding on back. Roushkateers ran well obviously with 4 out of the top 5 and led all but like 9 laps.
