Why is TB only favored 3 over NYJ????

Am I missing something??? Given it's in NY, I understand... but the undefeated TB Bucs that look really good in the beginning of the season are only favor by a field goal to the piss poor Jets??? WTF??? Help needed??? Have an opinion????

Vinny Testerverde will provide a spark at least for the first week and I don't think Tampa Bay has showed me enough yet. They are a good team but not a top echelon. I'm not convinced of how strong TB 4-0 record coming from victories against Minny, GB, Buff, and Det. We'll see tomorrow.

I am thinking the same thing about the Dallas v. Philadelphia game! Home field is not enough.....I would think that this line should be somewhere around PHI -10!

even if williams play he's not gonna play for a long time. He'll get like 10 snaps. Ppl are worried about his foot...wrong.....worry about his hamstrings. Hamstrings are a naggin injury

i am surprised by the PHI/DAL line as well as how many people on this site are on DAL...they have a suspect pass defense...last time I checked Philly likes to pass and is very good at it

i thought the Jets had a complex offense...will Vinny really have mastered it in such a short period of time...also, they have been unable to run the ball so far this year...surprised so many people on the Jets

I think Tampa is a legit team this year. Defense playing well, Griese not making mistakes & williams running well. I think the fact that it's on the road, keeps the line down. I think Tampa wins by 10! GL on whatever you do!

BTW, Minny, GB & Buffalo were all teams talked about as playoff contenders before the season, so I don't think the schedule is as soft as weazel stated.

When I see threads questioning lines I often refer to Sagarin's USA Ratings. Vegas uses a rating system then adjust depending of game circumstances ie injuries.

Including a 3 pt home advantage
Jets 23.16
TB 22.62

Dallas 21.47
Philly 27.02

It appears Vegas adjusted the line 4 points due to the QB situation with NY.

Philly should be -5.5. My guess they often adjust against 'America's team', Dallas.

Too much contreversy in this game. I would pass on this game. But if I was betting i would take the Jets. Vegas is begging you to take TB. Could you imagine having Tb +3 or +7. That is what you would have if you teased them in a 6pt or 10 pt tease, and you would think that is a no brainer easy win right? Just my 2c.
