Anybody think the Indianapolis and 49er line is a bit inflated. I know the 49ers are bad but think too much emphasis is being put on Alex Smith at quarterback. Look what David Carr did in his first game. Any way, just wondering what others thought?

The problem with the Niners is the DBs are all banged up ,2 saw their first action last week and the backups are from the practice squad, if Manning does the no huddle on them they will be spent by the second half and so will the hope of covering the 15 points
GL if YOU take the niners

Anytime I see a game where 92% of the money at sportsbook.com is on one team. Where 85% of the bets at Carib are on the same team, I either pass or go the other way. That's where the Colts/Niners are right now. I do think that tomorrow these percentges and the line will be lower. 15.5 is way to many for a ROAD TEAM to spot, regardless of how bad the competition is. Many times teams play down to the level of their competition and when this happens the favorite usually does not cover. This is what you have to be afraid of tomorrow if you like Indy. The Niner's haven't played badly in their two home games, beating St Louis outright and losing to Dallis by only three.

the line opened at 13.5 before they knew alex smith was starting at QB...that information has had little effect on the line
McCown looked like a Pro Bowler against 49ers...what will a real Pro-Bowler do to this team?...you can say ARIZ has good WR corp, but obviously INDY is tough as well
the Colts passing attack got started last week, but Wayne still hasn't gotten much love from Manning this year...hopefully Harrison gets the looks early and they hold off on running the clock down the whole second half to make sure Wayne gets going and gets some confidence
also, as good as the INDY defense has played...there is the possibility that they could shut this 49er team out as they did absolutely nothing against ARIZ on the offensive side of the ball...this defense wants respect and the quest for a shutout could keep the backups on the bench in a blowout...this will make the cover much easier as this game could easily be a 4TD game by the half
Just throwing in my opinion...Good luck!

Don't forget Dungy is a defensive coach. He finally has a defense in Indy. He's changed his offensive scheme.
I bet the Niners. Indy's defense scares me more than Indy's ofense. I'm not sure 49ers can score 10 points.
