Well the streak this week now stands 8 - 1 + 23.80 Units.
Today i have a rare Double Grand Salami Day. For those who don't know what this is......Let me explain...my plays usually go from 2 units - 5 units.
2 units being a double play, 3 units being a triple play, and 4 units being a homerun, 5 units being a grand salami, Well this one particular game am singling out as a DOUBLE GRAND SALAMI and its usually worth 8 units.
Ok enough of that. Lets get these out to you.
ILLINOIS + 6.5 ( 2 UNITS ) Look at both of these teams schedule and you will see why am taking Illinois. One has played Div 1 opponents and one has played some patsy's.
Kansas St - 6.0 ( 3 UNITS ) Almost the same reasoning here..Kansas has played a weak schedule and chalk up some W's.
BOSTON COLLEGE - 7.0 ( 4 UNITS ) I've seen both of these teams play and trust me Virginia is over rated TAKE THE EAGLES @ HOME TO SOAR.
IOWA ST. - 7.5. ( 4 UNITS ) BEFORE you jump on the Baylor band wagon you best review who the BEARS have played. I know i can't say enough about the schedules but it tells me alot about a team. I know Iowa St. lost a heartbreaker last week aganist Nebraska. But lets not forget this is the same team that beat IOWA. TAKE THE CYCLONES TO SPIN THESE BEARS BACK TO REALITY.
NEBRASKA + 4.0 ( 3 UNITS ) The Cornhuskers won't forget last years pasting they took in Lubbock.....ITS PAY BACK TIME. As Tech has played so lame teams and struggled with Kansas at home last week.
NOW THE DOUBLE GRAND SALAMI-
COLORADO ST - 4.5 ( 8 UNITS )
Here's why......
Reason: Revenger #1 is in the books. When Urban Meyer left Salt Lake for Gainesville and OC Mike Sanford left for Vegas, they took with them the heart and soul of Utah's innovative spread offense. They left behind a team with a new QB and little offensive identity. There's no more swagger when Utah rolls into town. Believe me...I'm a very close follower of the Mountain West. Under Meyer, Utah used to come to town with an attitude that their - you know what did not stink! They were brash on the field and played an almost dirty brand of football, completey intimidating their opponent. Not anymore. The Utes are 0-2 S/U & ATS away from home so far, and North Carolina became the first of what I suspect will be a few paybacks on this year's schedule. This week, Utah must travel to Fort Collins to battle conference foe Colorado State. Last season, Urban Meyer was accused of running up the score in a 63-31 win and cover over CSU. After all, with a safe, 56-31 lead with roughly 6 minutes left in the game, Meyer sent QB Alex Smith and the offensive starters back on the field for one final TD drive, leaving CSU coaches, players, and fans with an awfully bitter taste in their mouths. While the Utes are mistake-prone this year (5 turnovers last week) the Rams are much improved. They absolutely overpowered Air Force last week in a 41-23 win. Even AFA HC DeBerry stated that his team was, "...knocked off the ball for the first time this season," by the Rams. Sonny Lubick's offense is tougher to defend in 2005. Not only are they capable of running right through a defense, but they're distributing the ball through the air. Sophomore Luke Roberts became the fourth Ram this season to post a 100-yard receiving game. He is also the sixth wide receiver to catch a touchdown pass for CSU this season. Utah will have a tough time hanging with the Rams in revenge mode! UNC got the revenge train rolling last week, CSU adds to the momentum this Saturday
