luck on the play tomorrow Homer......Bart may get a new Hockey uniform out of this one! Don't mean to crawl into somebody else's thread with plays or game info but......

Just for what it's worth they were one of my plays tomorrow too and because a lot of people are probably playing it here is some info from the Hoosiers Radio Pre-game report on a local station there that airs this afternoon with the I.U. radio affiliate for game coverage.

a) The Hoosiers were subjected to a grueling practice this week after they imploded fundamentally vs Wisc in the game where they had 12 PENALTIES AND FOUR TURNOVERS. Coach Hoef was disgusted by that and is seeking correction this week.

b) Illinois is bemoaning the fact they are giving up big yards defensively with a YOUNG defense by many say that is smoke as Zook has 13 returning starters from last years matchup game where they squeeked out a 2 point win.

c) Illinois in the series lead big time with a 40 - 19 -3 record BUT INDIANA has WON 3 of the LAST 4 played AT INDIANA and this is the big Homecoming game for IU with what should be a LARGE crowd at home.

d) I.U. gives up a big 359 yards per game defensively but the ILLINI are more embarrassing at a whopping 469 per game.

e) However 3 games of those were against the likes of MICH ST, CAL and even LOW scoring IOWA put up a 35 spot on them.

f) BOTH teams run the spread offense and BOTH with first year coaches.

AND I would think a nice little look on play for the game would be (if I was a gambling man) the OVER 54. Recent history (those same last 4 games they have met) dictates that the matchups have had trouble getting to 50 points except one that hit 59...yet this total is way up at 54!

I may have even been pesuaded to PARLAY I.U. on the M.L. with the over and I.U. on the spread with OVER. BUT THE BOTTOM line is 6 points is just a little much to ask Illinois to overcome unless the turnovers continue for I.U. which I do not think will repeat this weekend. PERFECT WEATHER for the game as well. COOL.....SUNNY......DRY and LIGHT WIND NORTHEAST AT 10-15 so field goals and passing games should remain in tact.
