There are a lot of intangibles also, which favor the Chicago. If I were not such a big Red sox fan, I would bet the White Sox tonight;much better teams in sports history than this year's Red sox have gotten swept in the first round of the playoffs.
I will of course hope my doom and gloom prediction is wrong.

Just read another interesting stat, that I had no idea about, and not sure if it has any significance or not, but.....

Wakefield has never won a game in the ALDS. He's 0-3 with a 9.92 ERA

            Hi hoosier

Interesting stats....assuming Wells was one of the better starters for Boston and got rocked, what do think is going to happen to Wakefield?.....White Sox have had the best pitching rotation in the league, and their `at bats` are swinging some heavy lumber...Boston fans not-withstanding, i think Beantown is in trouble....GL today

All I know on bright side is that if Red Sox lose, my White Six at 22-1 to win WS is still alive.

That's a sweet payout....hope that wins!! I put 300 on the White Sox in the series which pays 390, then put 500 on them this morning for the series at -440. Granted, it's a ton of juice, but this CWS team won't lose 3 straight with the pitching they have and the lack of pitching Boston has.

It would be bittersweet for me.
However if White Sox win(which seems probable), it would be nice for me to have them play Anaheim,as I have them at 11-1 and then I would be golden for the WS(I could hedge and win no matter whom they play;I also have St. Louis at 5-1).
Unfortunately, some of my futures wagers have already gone down the toilet with the Orioles and Dodgers.
