Hey captcane, welcome to BC.
I bet it from time to time, as my girlfriend is a fucking genius like that guy in the movie phenomenon for picking golf (when it comes to matchups especially), she's my source. She disapproves of my gambling to some extent (though I'm relatively successful over the last year or so), so she's reluctant to help, otherwise I'd post all the time.... She reads up on how the individual players are doing and uses recent performance, pga tour.com is a good place to start (for stats and recent performance), as for picks... not sure. Not many pro sports gamblers pick golf, so the lines are relatively stable and can find good value occasionally. Like, if John Daley was arrested the night before, the line won't shift for a matchup with him, as if the sports world says, "oh, oh well".
Hope this helps."He who is afraid to ask is ashamed of learning."

I bet golf from time to time. I take a look at the course, and how players played at the course the past years. If they do well I may be inclined to bet them. I also try to find out what course suits certain players.
Like, some course have very tight fairways, so I will look up and see which players are leading in fairways hit for the year. Some courses are long, so I pick the longest hitters like Tiger and Appleby. Some have tiny or hard greens so I'll pick a player who leads in greens hit in regulation. Sergia Garcia is #1 and Kenny Perry is #2 in greens hit.
It doesn't work all the time, but when you're betting player matchups, you can find really good bargains. It takes some time, but good handicapping is the difference in winning money and losing it. Hope this helps
