Angels +130 5 units The only edge the Yankees have here is their hitting. Angels have mutch better starting pitching and bullpen which usually spells sucess in the playoffs. They also have a very balanced lineup which can put up a few runs against the Yanks. Angels in 5
Astros -114 8 units As much as it hurts to take the Astros here because I'm a Braves fan , I just got to. A 5 game series sets up perfectly for the Astros. Their starters for their first three games will be Pettite, Clemens, and Oswalt. These three are probably in the top 15 or 10 pitchers in the game. Then they have an excellent closer in Lidge who has had filthy stuff lately, breaking many and making hitters wave at his slider. He can pitch the last two inning of a game if needed which is a huge plus. So, there will be no gap for the Astros, it will be strictly the game starter to the Closer(Lidge). If the Braves do not game very good starting pitching from Hudson and Smoltz, they are toast. Then they have Sosa goning in game three and he has no playoff experience that I can think of. Gotta love the Astros here
