I have been flat out terrible. Last week I went 3-2 and lost money because I lost my biggest play which was not even close on Oregon State so this week I am playing every game for the same amount. I am also going to limit myself to a 4 play maximum. This might sound stupid to some but this has worked for me in the past with great success. My two biggest weaknesses are money management and playing a game for action. I haven't played a college game this week because they didn't meet my criteria as a play but I have found 4 games that have and these are the plays that I will be playing this week.
5* Purdue -3 The Boilermakers come off a tough loss to Minn last week and Notre Dame comes off an emotional win at Washington against their old coach. I was on the Irish last week but I have to go the other way this week because the Boilermakers seem to give the Irish fits. Last week the Irish were lucky to come away with the cover IMO and without all the Wash TO's this game would have been a lot closer. I believe that the Boilermakers will be able to move the ball on the Irish rather easily and they should come out with a DD victory in this matchup. Purdue by 14!!!!!(This is my favorite play)
5* Minn/Penn St Under 50 These two teams seem to always play games that are low scoring. 5 of the last 6 in this series have gone under the total. Here are the totals for the last 6 games in this series: 23, 34, 41, 47, 44, and 31. Minn does not play as well on grass for some reason so this game being played at Happy Valley only helps us out. Cupito is a very overrated QB and I see PSU putting all the pressure on him to make plays by stacking the box with defenders. I really like PSU in this matchup but not enough to make into my top 4 plays. PSU 20-17!!!!!
5* Rutgers -1 Plain and simple, Wannstadt is a horrible coach and the Panthers are paying the consequences for hiring him. I know there isn't a lot of talent on that team but he has made Tyler Palko look like a JV QB after having a great season under Walt Harriss. Speaking of Walt Harriss, I was wondering why he would go to Stanford but he must have known that the cupboard was going to be bare this year so he got out when the getting was good. I know that Rutgers is not a strong team but I believe at home they will get the job done. This is one of those games where everyone is on one side(Pitt) and the line is going the other way. In these situations, I always try to either play with the books or not play the game at all.
Rutgers 24-10!!!!!
5* Arizona +17 -115 I am going with the Wildcats in this matchup as I like their chances to play with Cal in this game. I think this game could go either way and I will take my chances with a Stoops coached team getting +17 in this situation. IMO Cal is very overrated. This is not the same team that blew out everyone last year and I have not been impresed when I have watched them play so far this year. Cal will probably win this game but I think it will by a TD or less but I wouldn't be suprised if the Wildcats are in this game the whole way with a shot to win it at the end. Cal has played cupcake city so far this year while Arizona has played Utah and Purdue. It also doesn't hurt that Cal has UCLA on deck and could be looking ahead to a matchup with the Bruins. Cal 28-24!!!!!
I start to turn my season around with these four games. Please let me know what you think and give me some input. Comments are appreciated!!!!!
