Thursday night's not alright for fighting: Air Force has already dropped its first two conference games by a combined four points and is coming off a tough 38-35 loss at Utah last Thursday night. A Mountain West title is likely out of reach for the Falcons, who are 0-4 SU and 2-2 ATS in their previous four Thursday night games.

Rams enjoy the spotlight at home: This will be Colorado State's eighth primetime appearance at home under head coach Sonny Lubick, and the Rams will be looking to improve to a perfect 8-0 SU in those games. Colorado State doubled up Nevada 42-21 on Saturday at home after starting the season with two road losses. The Rams have also beaten Air Force in the last three home meetings and three of four overall.

Colorado State uses bye week to prepare early: The Rams were on a bye before they beat Nevada last Saturday and knew they had a short week to get ready for Air Force. Colorado State used the extra time to prepare for the Falcons, who run a complicated triple-option offense. The Rams needed the work after Air Force destroyed the Rams 47-17 and totaled 576 yards in last year's season finale.

Much like the Air Force at Utah game last Thursday, both of these teams should be able to move the ball with ease against the other team’s defense. Air Force is throwing the ball with much more success this season (173 yards at 8.9 yards per pass play), which makes their triple-option attack even tougher to defend, and the result as has been 438 total yards per game at 5.9 yards per play against a schedule of teams that would allow 5.5 yppl to an average offense. Colorado State has surrendered 6.5 yppl this season (against teams that would average 5.8 yppl against an average defense) and they are a bit worse than average defending the run (5.3 yards per rushing play against teams that would average 5.2 yprp against an average defense). Air Force should surpass their normal production in this game, but the Falcons’ sub-par stop unit (5.9 yppl allowed to teams that would average 5.5 yppl against an average defense) will have no luck trying to defend a potent Colorado State air attack that has averaged 7.5 yppp (against teams that would combine to allow just 5.8 yppp to an average quarterback). The Falcons have been susceptible to the pass, allowing 7.9 yppp to teams that would average 6.4 yppp against an average defense, so the Rams’ offense should be clicking as well. Lean with the Over.

Honestly I can see 5 TDS being scored in the first half. But I have much more confidence after 2 halves of football to see the thing go over.

Actually wasn't there about 50 points in the first half when Airforce played Utah last week?
