TEXAS RANGERS
The Rangers send veteran hurler K. Rogers to the hill to take down the Mariners in his last start of the season. He is coming off a stellar performance in his last outing, leading his team to a 3-1 win over the A's on Fri-day night when he allowed just one run over 6 1/3 innings. Rogers has been a super con-sistent contributor in the Texas rotation this season and ranks 6th in the American League in earned run average. Franklin his hapless Mariners pitching opponent has not seen a win in his last six trips to the hill and has a bloated 7.88 ERA over that ugly span. Frankilin has absolutely struggled in his appearances vs the Rangers in the past as is evidenced by a 1-8 career record along with a hefty 8.02 ERA in 12 starts. The Rangers have dominated right handerS like Franklin this season batting them around for 5.6 RPG.,while the Mariners have struggled against southpaws like Rogers. Texas 5-2 at Seattle this season and 12 -5 overall.
