Miami looking for first home win: The RedHawks will be playing at home for just the second time since last November 2nd, dropping their home opener to Central Michigan 38-37 on September 10th despite being 23 1/2-point favorites. Miami has lost four of its last five games both SU and ATS, and this will be the 110th meeting with Cincinnati. The RedHawks lead the all-time series 58-44-7, but the favorite has gone just 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings between the teams.
Cincinnati coordinators know RedHawks: The Bearcats have lost four of the last five meetings with Miami played at Yager Stadium, but they do have former RedHawks on their coaching staff. Cincy defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi held the same position at Miami in 2003 and helped limit his former team to just 37 rushing yards in a 45-25 win last year as 3 1/2-point underdogs. Cincy offensive coordinator Don Treadwell also has roots in Oxford, as he went to school at Miami and later coached receivers there from 1992-93.
