        Wednesday's Game
MAC vs Big East, but a local rivalry, as Cincy-Miami is a pretty good series (schools around 40 miles apart). Dogs are 8-3 vs spread in series, with home side winning four of last five, as UC lost last two visits here, 21-14/42-37. Bearcats outrushed Maimi 341-37 last year in 45-26 home win, gaining 599 yards for game.

Cincinnati has just three starters back on both sides of ball, so they're very young team- they beat I-AA team 7-3 in their last game, so offense has issues, and they won opener 28-26 over MAC doormat Eastern Michigan, not a good sign.

Miami split pair of MAC games after losing 34-14 at Ohio State; they have new coach this year, but experienced players. hard to trust home team, though, after they lost 38-37 in home opener to 22-point dog Central Michigan.

MAC home teams are 4-0 vs spread in non-league games, while Big East road dogs are 4-0-1 vs number. Not really lot to choose from, though, in a rivalry game.

Next time Geena Davis' TV show comes on ABC, turn it on, then turn your head and listen to her voice: she sounds exactly like Hillary Clinton, which I am sure is a great coincidence. With all due respect, here is a list of people I would support for President before I would ever vote for Mrs Clinton.

            13) Calvin Broadus (Snoop Dawg)- One less Pop Warner coach in Long Beach, a little more snizzle in Washington.

            12) Bill Bradley- Rhodes Scholar, senator from New Jersey, actually prepared for the position, ran for it, and got hammered. Too dull, they say. In that case...

            11) Carrot Top- Tell me you've never seen this wacky comedian and thought, "By God, he's Presidential material." OK, maybe not, but he's also not dull. By the way, to save money on your long distance, dial
            1-800-IMPEACH

            10) Wayne Gretzky- He's Canadian, you say? I know he's Canadian, I've been to his museum (Brantford, Ont.). I'd rather have one of our neighbors to the north running this country than you-know-who.

            9) Tom Hanks- The former vendor at the Oakland Coliseum has been an astronaut (Apollo 13) played football for Alabama (Forrest Gump), dated online and found Meg Ryan (You've Got Mail), was baseball manager (League of Their Own) and battled AIDS (Philadelphia). Tell me he wouldn't get ton of votes......

            8) Billy Beane- America gets lot more production with a smaller payroll, falters every October, but bounces back strong the next year. It becomes illegal to swing at the first pitch.

            7) Norm from Cheers. Has great name recognition. Anheuser-Busch stock would go through the roof.

            6) Clint Eastwood- Former mayor of Carmel, CA. If foreigners were scared of Reagan, wait until Dirty Harry gets elected President.

            5) David Letterman- First State of the Union address to have a Top 10 list in it.

            4) Tiger Woods- Everyone in country would have to wear red on Sunday, but maybe we'd all get Swedish nannies, too. One can hope.

            3) Condoleeza Rice- If we have to have a woman President, let's have one who hasn't ridden coattails of her husband. Speaking of which........

            2) Bill Clinton- People like him, which is more than we can say about his wife. It is important to have a President people want to follow, and he does have that going for him. Is it legal to make a Jordan-like comeback into the Presidency?

            1) Rudy Giuliani- Helped bring New York through time of crisis, was a prosecutor who fought organized crime, and is a leader. Plus, he was mayor of New York and loyal Bronx baseball fan, at risk of offending voters who like the Mets. Mrs Clinton can't even tell the truth about that.
