Well not a marquee match up this evening but the schedule maker made it so here we have it.
The struggling Bearcats come into Oxford, Ohio with a 2 - 1 record beating E. Michigan 28 - 26 and last week beating W.Carolina 7 - 3 and were beaten badly at Penn St. 42 - 24.
The Bearcats return a total of 6 returning starters 3 on each side of the ball. 2nd year coach Mark Dantonio will excuse the pun but BEAR it out with this inexperience team. As the Red Hawks return 15 starters 8 on offense including returning QB Josh Betts and 7 on the defensive side of the ball which has a veteran secondary.
Miami opened the season losing to Ohio St. 14 - 34 and losing at home to C. Michigan @ home 37 - 38. And beating Kent St. @ home last weekend 27 - 10.
The line on this game opened at 13 sunday night and now stands at 10 but the point total hasn't changed.
The dog in this series has won 8 of the 11 meetings in this cross state rivarly which is only 40 miles apart. The home team is 3 - 5 the last 8.
Another other year i'd take the Bearcats and the points in this one but such inexperience players altho this is a cross town rivarly i see Miami with too much experience for these Bearcats.
Miami is also 5 - 1 as favorites on weeknight games.
My pick:
MIAMI-OHIO RED HAWKS - 10 ( 3 UNITS )
BEARCATS/ REDHAWKS- UNDER 57.5 ( 4 UNITS )
Good Luck !!
