    for tomorrow at Aqueduct
I have a friend in NY that is buds with P G Johnson
    He gave me

    Double Cupcake in the first

    Micmaceuse in the second race

Ellie's Quest in race numer 9

I can't see all of them winning, but what one do you leave out?
I'll bet them all for the same.

J L Samyn is the key with P G Johnson

          nice

I gotta get into the horse game, but being a Bukowski reader, I know it and the dogs ain't that easy. How long do you think it takes someone to become profitable in it? Years?

I live 15 min from the Saratoga Race track. I have played the horses since I can remember. I don't play everyday, I play when I get info or when the track is open in the summer. In horse racing I feel it's who you know, not what you know to be profitable .

                  Possible Long Ball

There are so many various hazards in capping the horses. It would take 2 lifetimes to show a consistent profit.Inside info is the best weapon but even then it's an opinion of one.Example:
Knowing the people involved with a horse named NORDIC LASS.
They say the Lass is on her feed.Running today at Delaware Park in the 9th race. It's listed at 15-1 morning line.I will take a stab but I know it is a stab nothing more..
                  Good Luck to ALL,
                  Stoneroot

                      Not much here [ 2 cents ]

After reading this thread , and considering all the ideas , I can safely speak from experience and toss a few things out here.

I have been involved with racing for almost 35 years , both from a owner, breeder, trainer, and bettor. My forte is greyhounds but I know many that saddles are involved to. And it does take years of a great deal of things to get " on the inside " . Your demeanor and personal habits as well as your business habits make you friends as with any station in life , handle them well and you establish ties that can be very beneficial to your wagering experience , dont and live with what lifes gonna give you !

Of course knowing your game is a must " nothing can replace that " , but in racing if I had to pick-out the one most important aspect of ones ability to show a profit in this game it would be ,,,,, Who you know !

                      G.L. & G.B.
