      Tuesday's Game
MAC vs WAC as Fresno (4-2-1 as home favorite last two years) takes on Toledo, which is 3-0 and scored 53.3 ppg. Rockets are 3-5 as road dog last two years- they've played three bad teams so far, outscoring them 104-13 in first half. Fresno had 17-0 lead at Oregon, let game slip away (37-34). Toledo 4-12-1 vs spread on grass, but they have senior QB, quality program, and I think they're live dog here, getting double figures., although MAC road dogs are 7-11 vs spread in non-league games. WAC home clubs are 3-0 vs spread in non-league contests. Interesting game don't Toledo kids have to go to school? This is long road trip.

          13) Bengals already have plus-12 turnover ratio; in their three games, they've had huge advantages in field position of 14,20,17 yards. Cincy has already started eight drives in opponent territory, scoring 30 points on those drives. 2004 Giants also had big turnover ratio early last season; when opponents stopped turning ball over, Giants stopped winning, so it'll be interesting to see if Bengals can keep this up.

          12) In two road games, Arizona Cardinals has been outscored 62-9 in second half.

          11) Bears led Detroit 31-6 at halftime of their Week 2 win; in their two losses, they have zero first half points.

          10) Rams defense is much-improved; granted, thats not saying a lot, since the '04 defense was so bad, but this season, they already have seven takeaways, and have held foes to 8-32 on third down. In three games, St Louis has started five drives in enemy territory; they started eight all of last season.

          9) Speaking of Rams, Marc Bulger has been sacked 15 times in three games. Keep that rate up, and the Ryan Fitzpatrick era (promising rookie from Harvard) will start lot sooner than anyone under the Gateway Arch wants it to.

          8) 49ers have been outscored 52-17 in second half of games (45-49 in first half)

          7) Packers have just one takeaway in three games, and a sad minus-8 turnover ratio.

          6) On first seven Jet drives Sunday, their starting field position was (all in Jet territory): 3-20-4-20-18-20-20. Anemic offenses need short field to score on- Jets sure weren't getting one vs Jaguars, and with their QB now out for season, Gang Green is in serious trouble.

          5) Raiders are misleading 0-3; they've made trips to east coast to play both of last year's Super Bowl teams, then hosted their archrival in between. I think Oakland will have a hot streak when their schedule gets more manageable.

          4) Speaking of schedules, Chargers go to eastern time zone for five of their last 13 games, starting with this week's trip to Foxboro.

          3) Watching parts of all the NFL games on DirecTV, the overall quality of analysts is poor, but the two best, in my mind, are two former Cowboys, Troy Aikman and Darrell Johnston.

          2) Tennessee-LSU was classic game Monday night, as Vols rallied from 21-0 halftime deficit to win in OT, capping day when they traveled to Baton Rouge on game day, first time they traveled on game day n 35 years. Maybe it'll start a new trend (I doubt it).

          1) Friend of mine's fantasy team is so bad, he tried to add Burger King to his roster, after seeing the king score TD's on those TV commercials.
