  • One longshot NASCAR bomb as I look for three in a row

My last NASCAR post was two months ago as I am very selective here (Wayne's the best at NASCAR week in and week out) but I pick my spots and do well with this sport. I'm blasting my entire weekly bankroll (except a few pennies) for stock cars on one play and I absolutely love it.

3* (huge for me) Rusty Wallace +1800
Wallace is one of the all time Dover wins leaders. While he hasn't won a race all year, he is in the Chase and has been consistent all season. That's because he's been driving "safe," trying to get to the chase by not wrecking. He has been in the top ten virtually every week. This is Rusty's final year and it's at a track he loves. Now that the ten race "chase" has begun, to win the championship, he needs a win and today might be the day. He's qualified in position six. Further, his team is hot with Newman on the pole and winning last week. 18-1 is a huge price. Heck, there are only 40 in the field. Wallace is a short track specialist (always has been) and Dover fits his style. While this bet is certainly not likely to cash, it's chances are way way better than 18-1. Bombs away.

Opinion only: Ryan Newman 6-1 (for a few leftover pennies)
