NHL Rd 2 Thoughts

Here's my thoghts on RD2...

Min +250 Van - Being a lifelong Devils fan it does my heart proud to see Jacque Lemaire once again shake up the hockey world with the Neutral Zone Trap. Is this a HOMER pick??? Maybe. Is it a winner... I believe it is.

Phl +150 Ott - I think these teams match up very well against each other, but Roenick and Amonte should be the difference makers in a hard fought series.

Ana +330 Dal - Smokin' hot goaltender at a huge number.

NJD -330 TB - Strictly a HOMER pick... welll maybe not stricly. I see this series as being a tough one as well but the Devils should advance on the solid play of Martin Brodeur. I hate laying this big of a price though so I'll probably lay off this one.

I think Minn. is a very live dog and would go that way in that one also.

I cannot go against Dallas for some reason i'm just not sure their goalie(Anaheim) can stand on his head again and think Dallas will be in the Finals

I think Ottawa wins game 1 and Philly wins game 2 which would leave it a 5 game series with Philly holding home ice but i'm not sure how that series shakes out overall.

T.B.-N.J. is interesting i think i would have to go with Jersey based on Martin and experience like nut said yesterday no one gets to the Finals without a few years of growing pains and i think T.B. might have some of those and Washington wasn't exactly known for their defense like Jersey....could be a longer series than expected though.




I'm skipping all series bets from here on just because it messes with my head when i play the games like the other night when i had the Blues to win the series but bet on them in game 7 just because i needed them to cash the series bet....lost twice cause of that and i just like to focus on it game by game that's where i think i'm at my best but good luck and i hope my opinions helped. :D

I would play Anaheim +1.5 -170 for the whole series, I think that should hit most of the games.

Capitalize on the plus money with the best team on the ice against a team who is still thinking about sweeping the Red Wings.......This has blowout written all over it.........
