    RJ,

Thanks for the $100 check. I will be glad to photoshop any other pictures you may need in the future.

I was coming towards the back of the store by the shoes, and all of a sudden BAM!!!! Ali was sitting right there. I couldn't believe my eyes. I ran over and grabbed my friend Jon and we introduced ourselves. He was just there with another guy trying shoes on. We got a couple pictures with him. He didn't really say a word the entire time, but would joke around for the pictures and act like he was choking us and stuff.

        pretty cool experience.....

Not nearly as cool as around 1978 before he lost all his marbles I was crossing the street in NYC. A convertible drove by with Ali standing waving to all the pedestrians as if he was in his own parade.

By the way Bill Lee, former flaky and free thinking pitcher for the BoSox and other teams, has written a great book which deals with such issues as "What if."
I am right in the middle of reading it;it entitled "The Little Red Sox Book"(Curse Reversed Edition-truly fascinating stuff.
              Savage, great answer.

Frank-the book I cited is funny, has hypothetical events in it besides the Babe NOT being sold,For instance, it is speculated as to what would have happened if Ted Williams hit a line drive at Hitler's head (who was throwing out a ceremonial first pitch at Fenway), killing him, and how that in itself would have changed baseball/Red Sox history and Ted's career from that point on(remember all the years Williams served in the Air Force).

Neil, you should post your Duran story. That was great.

HAHAHA!!! Aquaman was BEAMING for hours the rest of the day. He called everyone he knew and was telling them. He's really a die hard fan though, he said if he could meet anyone in the world, it would be Ali. He kept calling him "Champ". He was like, "Hey Champ, would you mind taking a picture with us?" hahaha
