I think it's a little of both. The CWS are 3-8 L 11 and if they were even 5-6 they would still hold a 4 1/2 game lead.

I like Cleveland's chances....I just don't see them falling apart.
But you are right, a 2 game bobble by ANYONE in the race will spell trouble, whether it's Cleveland, NY, or the RedSox...

i happen to agree...but also agree that itiare very typical of yankess fans to start their gums flapping when their prey is weakened and bloodied.....all my yankee fan friends were apologetic, polite and downright normal a few weeks ago and made comments to the effect of " we will never catch you guys" "we just do not have it this year" and so on.....

Today, this is the 4th or 5th arrogant comment by a yankee fan........very typical is all i have to say.....very similar to a cowboy fan.....quiet and placid when things are not going well and downright arrogant when the TKO is in sight.....

I always thought the sox won in spite of francona. never because of him and i think many of his silly "hunch" decisions is coming back to bite him in the ass.....i have never seen a manager bench guys the next day off multiple HR games....saw it with nixon and ortiz....i know about the righty/lefty matchup, but the replacements were gabe kapler and kevin millar...not exactly studs.....also thought the season was crystalized against the yanks midway in the season when the sox had the lead and were threatening to blow it open when the fucking genius 3rd base coach decides to send damon to his death and a bang bang bang play kills the sox...and the yanks score 4 and game over......This season was not lost recently, but all during the year when the sox shouldn have been up 10 games, but decide to concede games to rest guys...and who the fuck is adam hyzdu and marchado.....i mean i know who they are....but corey bradford is all we could have gotten for jay payton....come on???? and the no closer issue should have been addressed.....Time for them to nut up and see if they can hold on....but i doubt it.....I hear the knocking on the door and it is a freight train called the NY Yankees!!!
