Tuesday's List of 13, as Bill Parcells' dog hides...
        13) Al Michaels made big deal of fact that Parcells, in his career, was 77-0 when he had a 13+ point lead in fourth quarter. Well, after allowing 156 yards on two drives that took 2:29 total, and losing 14-13 to hated rival Redskins, he is now 77-1 in those situations.

        12) Chuck Knox is all-time leader, by the way, with a 108-0 record, with George Allen, 72-0, although he was losing coach in the Clint Longley game, that was a lot like last night's game.

        11) The fundraising efforts in Manhattan are fantastic, and the NFL is to be commended for raising money in support of the Gulf Coast, but couldn't the telethon be held with the Saints-Giants game in San Antonio? Not sure why the Saints had to lose a "home game".

        10) I mean, it is not like the game was played in the same state as Manhattan, anyway, although not sure if ESPN's Suzy Kolber knows that.

        9) Why would Dallas wear their 1960 uniforms on a night where they honored Aikman, Smith and Irvin, the most modern stars in their history?

        8) The last Giant receiver to play in the Pro Bowl? Answer below.

        7) Monday night was the 14th time Redskin-Cowboy game has been on Monday Night Football.

        6) Redskins were only team that has this coming week off to win in Week 2. Their offense needs lot of work.

        5) Redskin tackle Jon Jansen is playing with a pair of broken thumbs. He couldn't hitchhike, but he can play on the offensive line. Hmmmmm.

Answer to quiz: Heath Shuler was last Redskins QB to win at Texas Stadium.

        4) Texans took advantage of bye week to fire their offensive coordinator Chris Palmer; guess we all need a scapegoat now and then. Joe Pendry is the new guy in charge of Houston's offense; he was once coach of the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL, where his QB was a former Dallas Cowboy backup- Glenn Carano.

        3) 146,933 people went to two college football games in LA Saturday; Oklahoma-UCLA, Arkansas-USC. College football does better than pro ball out there.

        2) Switching over to golf, we predicted last month that Jason Gore would win a PGA Tour event this fall, and he sure did, winning 84 Lumber Classic this weekend, which puts him on PGA Tour thru 2007.

        1) #125 on the money list is Brett Wetterich, with cool $506,834; #126 is Tommy Armour III with 501,734, with Briny Baird at $496,717. In other words, if you make half million bucks on the PGA Tour this season, you've failed, and have to earn back full rights for next season.
