I was hoping both would miss the playoffs. I'd like to see at least one of them miss the playoffs.

I don't want to be too pessimistic, but I have had thiis sinking feeling for about a week now that the Sox are going to finish out of the playoffs.
It kind of reminds me of a horserace, in this case where the Sox have the lead with an 1/8 of a mile to go and the on charging Yanks and possibly the Indians horses are going to catch them at the finish line.
The good news is that many times my predictions turn out wrong.

me too savage...but we are sox fans and it is in our nature....i just do not get francona....i think the sox have won in spite of him not because of him.....his hunch substitutions suck and the rd base coach is the worst ever!!!!! HELP !!!!
