My hunch play yesterday of Cleveland taking it to Seattle looked like a sure thing in the top of the 9th. , leading 5 to 3 and in comes Baez to ruin my dreams [ to wit ] , and next thing you know a walk off grand salami dumps a 8 to 5 loss in my lap , even though I had a excellent day on the mound yesterday those kinda things makes one want to throw-up and solidifies the addage " Ya never Know "
Moving on [ after spilt milk ] seems to be whats needed after a very good 12 and 2 day on the Diamond [ split my overs , was actually 13 and 3 ] and also sticking to baseball , lets take a gander at my outlook for todays shots ;
Cubs - Wood 3 - 0 3.12 seems to have it going his way [ 29 wiffs in 3 games ]
Montreal - Hernandez 1 - 0 4.24 [slight fav.]
White Sox - Colon 2 - 0 3.21 , this is a tight one with Jason Johnson opposing 2 - 0 2.89 , but his 2-3 + 8.10 lifetime against the sox sways me
Phillies - Myers 0 - 2 3.32 has really pitched well and will finally get his just due !
Marlins - Pavano 2 - 2 4.01 , has won two straight and is showing sings of improvement
Giants - Rueter 2 - 0 2.74
St Louis - Morris 1 - 1 2.43 starting to heat-up after very bad support !
Astros - Oswalt 2 - 1 3.71 [very best] owns a 0.66 ERA against the Mets , lifetime !
L.A. - Dreifort 1 - 1 3.79 gets the nod
Blue Jays - Hendrickson 1 - 2 6.97 , but wait a minute his match-up Joe Kennedy 1 - 1 4.73 , has opponets hitting .336 against him
Boston - Wakefield 2 - 0 4.05 , here comes the knukleballs folks
Minn. - Radke 1 - 2 7.84 , just feel its about time ?
Cleveland - Rodriguez 2 - 0 2.08 , 8 walks in 26 innings and they are hitting .216 against him vs. Meche 1 - 1 4.86 last outing 6 innings , no walks , 1 unearned against the A`s ,,,,, not touching this one !
Oakland - Zito 3 - 1 3.00 = a no brainer [big fav.]
Yankees - Clemens 3 - 0 2.08 if it aint broke " dont fix it "
O.K. I`m a bit weak also leaning towards the following NBA`s
Magic + 5.5 o/183.5
Portland + 6 o/192.5
