Lost on Saturday with the Rockies to run record to 51-47-3 (+$34.14 if bet $100 on each POD). Here is my MLB POD for today:
Indians (even) White Soxs lead is down to 3.5 games over Indians. White Soxs are only 22-23 since August 1st and Indians since July 31 are 33-11 and are 12-1 last 13 games. White Soxs have won 10 of last 13 against Indians, but haven't met since July 17th. Garcia doesn't pitch well at home going 3-5 with a 4.56 era for the year and last 4 starts is 1-2 with a 7.23 era. Millwood is 1-1 with a 1.20 era last 4 starts. Getting Indains as a slight dog is great value with them being the hottest team in the league now.
NFL pick today (0-1 for the year):
Cowboys (-5.5) Cowboys are adding Aikman, Irwin, and Emmitt Smith to their Ring of Honor today which should motivate the Cowboys even more. Cowboys have cover their last 7 games against the Redskins and are 9-1 ATS against the Redskins last 10 games. Gibbs has named Brunell as the starter which is great news for the Cowboys since he is way past his prime and Ramsey is pissed about this. Gibbs was a great coach years ago, but has been a horrible coach since coming back. Was impressed with the numbers Bledsoe put up last week and with Jones at RB should be able to move the ball against a good Washington D. Cowboys have a pretty good D as well and if they can stop Portis, Burnell won't be able to beat Cowboys throwing the ball. I look for a low scoring game with the Cowboys winning 24-10.
