I'm sorry but win or lose i am so sick of hearing what everyone else is on or who the public has:o ....It doesn't matter who anybody has you have to focus on the damn game the public wins and loses look at the Lakers the other day. DAMN doesn't anyone have their own opinion anymore? All i ever here lately is what everyone else in the world has....Who gives a fuck about them win or lose stop overthinking.....Ask Jake he has done it since the playoffs started and paid the price doing so and even admitted it himself.When i bet on a game i don't want to scratch my ass when it's over and say damn i liked them but played the other side cause everyone else did too,do you like that feeling cause i fucken hate it. GOOD LUCK and maybe the Nets kick ass but STOP worrying about who the public has, it has already burned people several times since the playoffs have started.

Wasn't really meant for you brother i just hate seeing people on here that lose or cry in their milk just because the public hits a game and that was their only theory for not jumping on the winner with everyone else. I think people are really overthinking these playoffs, well this team won game 1 so they can't win game 2 and so on ....Wake up look at the line and go with the side that catches your eye first, we have seen these teams all season already so research isn't going to mean much at this point.

From the looks of it, as of now, the money is teetering on the Nets side and I have a feeling that the line might even go to Bucks +7. But the first round of the playoffs is a lot like the first half of a season, the public takes the cake and gets a taste, then the second round rolls around and they slowy start to lose their shirt until the finals roll around, where suddenly they're barenaked, poor, and pennyless, because the it's so hard to predict the conference finals and the NBA finals because all the teams are so good.

I know some of you don't believe it...

But I'm telling you. Though MOST lines do move due to public money, there are plenty that don't. Oddsmakers can suck you in because they move lines based on what THEY know (and these guys are good.)

They also move SOME lines based on not the amount, but WHO bets what. They do respect some plays from professionals. There are also some sportsbooks (alot of them run by corporations) that move lines based on other books moving lines to protect them from leaving a weak number on the board. Remember, sportsbook managers would be ALL the same if this weren't true. They'd simply wait for the first numbers to be posted, match them, and then move due to how much is wagered on what side.

But these guys are in business. With SO much money being wagered on sports these days, they also have to justify their existence to their bosses. They want to be heavily bet on one side (on certain games), and they want to win!!! They are good at what they do because they get info you (and I ) don't get.

If you trust a source that gives you info as to how much is being wagered on a game, that's great. The percentages are with you. BUT, there are some games you'll be wrong on just by nature, and some games THEY'LL be wrong on (unless they're the actual sportsbook manager.)

It's good that we have some of this input from people that have sources. That helps. But it's not an absolute for two reasons. One is that sometimes the line moves for different reasons than what you think. The other is that hey, some bets win and some lose for both sides. Thanks to everyone for their input. This is the kind of thing that teaches people what it takes to be a winner.

Wayne's comments are understood because he's been succesful day in and day out. There are some sportsbook managers that will flat out tell you that handicapping games with stats and hard work the way 1218 does it is obsolete. That he succeeds is heartening, since it proves them wrong. Good luck all.
