Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
Clark: What's steroids?

On a strange night in the AL East, the New York Yankees overcame Randy Johnson's second-inning ejection and the Boston Red Sox became the first team in three years to win on a bases-loaded hit batter.
The Big Unit got the big heave-ho from plate umpire Fieldin Culbreth, who had enough of Johnson's glares, mutters and complaints.
Johnson's outing ended after just five outs Friday night. Robinson Cano then homered twice and drove in five runs and Alex Rodriguez hit his AL-leading 43rd home run as the visiting Yankees opened an eight-run lead and held on to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 11-10 for their fifth straight win.
"I can assure you that nobody finds it exciting to come to the ballpark this time of year and have to eject Randy Johnson," Culbreth said.
Johnson left the clubhouse without talking to reporters.
Toronto led 3-2 on Vernon Wells' three-run homer when Frank Menechino was at the plate with a 2-2 count in the second inning. Johnson threw a pitch on the inside part of the plate that was called a ball. The 6-foot-10 left-hander yelled at Culbreth, who popped out to the first-base side of the plate and took off his mask.
"Randy immediately came off the mound and had some choice words to say. I told him to knock it off and get back on the mound," said Culbreth, who had warned Johnson in the first. "He screamed again, an expletive and, `Just call it a strike.' And at that point he also screamed out, 'And the pitch to Wells was an expletive strike as well.' And at that point, I ejected him."
