  • Thoughts on live betting

I still dabble in it from time to time, just took the Wash Natls in the top of the 9th... paid $30(x3) and each ticket is worth $100 if it wins..natls just won. Does anyone else play these? they have a down side and an upside, downside is you get nervous and call off the bet and sell the side, then they come back. Also had a night where i had Sac vs Memphis NBA(few years back) pretty much had a lock... up by 15 with like 3 minutes... could have sold the shares at that time for $93 (paid $50) a piece... i held got greedy for the $7 and lost the cover ... held like 6 shares that game... biggest collapse ive seen live betting wise.

    Anyway thats my story...

lol WSEX is where i go

Basically you bet on games and can pull out of games while they happen.

Like ttoday it was the 9th inning 1 out... they were selling Wash Natls shares at $30.... each ticket becomes $100 if you win. They were down 1 with one on at the time.... so most money is on mets to win... this happens while the game is played... it goes on for football and all sports that are posted.

Perfect example is Agassi vs The guy (forgot the name) he was down 2 sets .. Agassi was selling for $20, i bought one and it turned into $100... makes stuff exciting.. but it can also go the wrong way like it has for me many times. Suprised not many knew about it.

            Wsex offers this

Sportsbook.com has in game betting which I use once in a while. Last Thursday after the Raiders scored a TD and were up 7-0, I made a in game bet on the Patriots -3.5 (+105). Only used it during football, but I think they have baseball too.

Basically at timeouts in football, they put out an adjusted line for the game. Sometimes I use it to hedge or if I think a team looks good in a game, I will place an in game bet down. They don't do every game and you have to place your bet fast before they start up again.
                  Posted record as of 03/12/08:

                  NBA 35-33 -.22 units
                  NCAA Basketball 12-14-1 -3.08 units

i agree ill use it as a hedge as well... or in a game where i want to see how the team comes out (will they start fast and dominate like i have in mind in case of huge fav). They adjust on every down i football at wsex and at bat in baseball. Basketball its done throughout the game.

also its mostly games that are televised.

I dont buy too many tickets... im a small player..
