  • Tonight's Lineups

As teams start to sit their starters more and more (look at St. Louis last night with Pujols and Walker), I"ll try to list any lineups with major players sitting out, as it can be a big difference in who you bet.

First one I notice: no ****** Damon for the Red Sox again tonight.

Jones has had such an interesting season.....I've never seen anyone with so many RBIs, that is such a bad hitter with runners in scoring position. With nobody on base, Jones is hitting .295 with 30 HRs. With runners in scoring position, he's hitting .222 with 9 HRs. He obviously has been pressing when he gets runners in scoring position, as he's hitting .182 with the bases loaded and .167 with runners at 2nd/3rd. If those numbers were decent, he'd have 150 RBIs by now!

I know!!! I think it was about a week ago and he went 0 for 3 in the game with 3 RBIs!!! Two separate groundouts scoring a man from 3rd on both, and a sac fly! How bizarre!
