  • Team on the rise vs. team on the decline

NFL 2-1 -0.2 units (managed to go 2 out of 3 on my NFL plays yesterday AND hit both opinions to boot; however my one loss was on my double play so I managed to turn the day into a loser. Argghh.

    2* 0-1
    1* 2-0

    2* Falcons +1 1/2
(This play is rated on the line atthe time of my original post last week.) I think Atlanta is the flat out better team this year. The Falcons looked good in the pre-season, their defense has gotten very good and Vick is due for his long awaited breakout year. Falcons have been waiting for this game since last year's playoff loss in Philly. Eagles, on the other hand, are a weaker team than last year and have to contend with the weird Owens-McNabb dynamic. An interesting technical angle: Super Bowl losers are 5-15 ATS in September of the following seaon over the past five years

the eagles will have a better defense this year. owens-mcnabb will not be a problem. vick is overated. he is an average qb at best. he will have good games but tonight he will be confused by the eagle defense. falcons do not have enough to cover owens and westbrook and whoever else that will be in the game at the time.

gl to everybody on your selections tonight.

                Lumberjack,

Vick looked very good in pre-season and seems committed to focusing more on the pass than the run. As for the Eagles defense, if the Falcons don't score at least 20 tonight, I'll be shocked. Vick is much better at home in the dome than on the road.

get ready for some shock therapy!!

just kidding! should be a good game. if they do score at least 20 then the over should be a very good play.

                  good luck tonight!

You obviously have not saw this Eagles defense. I think lumberjack hit the nail on the head "get ready for some shock therapy" this defense is VERY fast and aggressive and will cause turnovers. I CAN'T fucking wait for this game!!!!!
