I disappointing day yesterday going 1-2 espically watching Ohio State waste countless chances to put Texas away. Lets get it going today. These are my plays for Sunday....

5 STAR: Dallas (+4.5) OVER SAN DIEGO
The Chargers had a great run last season, but I expect them to come back down to earth this year. San Diego has been on a great run against the spread the last two seasons, but like everything does eventually, I expect that to turn this season as they will most likely be an over priced team by the odds makers due to last seasons success. The Cowboys have revamped their team during the off season and this veteran team should make a run at the playoffs. Drew Bledsoe has been brought in to be the quarterback for this team and though he is as mobile as a statue, he is still a good passer. San Diego's glaring weakness on the defensive side of the ball was pass defense where they ranked 31st in the league. Julius Jones running the ball will setup some big play action passes downfield for the Cowboys. On the other side of the ball, Dallas added two studs in the draft in defensive ends Marcus Spears of LSU and DeMarcus Ware of Troy. The Cowboys also landed one of the top free agents available in the defensive backfield in corner Anthony Henry from the Browns. This unit should return to form of the 2003 Dallas defense. The Cowboys also catch a break in Week one because they get to play the Chargers without Pro Bowl tight end Antonio Gates. I'll take the points, but I look for Dallas to win!
3 STAR: Chicago (+5.5) OVER WASHINGTON
This is a battle of two good defensive teams and points should be at a premium. The Redskins made some moves during the off season to improve their offense by acquiring David Patten and Santana Moss, but I just don't see them doing big things with Ramsey at quarterback. The Bears lost Rex Grossman to injury once again, but I really like Kyle Orton. I think he will do a good job and he has a big time weapon in wide receiver Mushin Muhammad to throw the ball to. The last three meetings between these two teams have been very close games and I look for more of the same here. I'll take the points!
