  • Your Friday Night N.c.a.a. Winners Inside !

    Game One:

Pittsburgh Panthers was suppose to destroy the lowly Irish from N.D. but got handed a booty whipping at home. Now they travel on the Road to a MAC team. The Ohio Bobcats who was destroyed by Big Ten Northwestern and experience Q.B Brett Basanez.......Pitt has a returning experience Q.B also in Tyler Palko......
I think after the wake up call handed to Pitt last week this Pitt offense should dominate this Bobcat team. Pitt is 6 -0 straight up aganist Ohio and 22 - 1 straight up aganist the MAC.
Pitt returns 16 starters with 9 on offense.
Ohio Bobcats brings in a new era with Frank Stolick out of Nebraska. The caliber of players here in Ohio and Nebraska will not be the same but he has the job of turning the program over into a MAC power house.
Bobcats finished last year with a 4 -7 record and have 14 returning lettermen. The 4 wins last year was nothing to write home about. Only a road win in Kentucky and U. C. F. , Buffalo, and VMI....The other MAC teams pretty much dominated this bobcat team.
They faced Pitt last year in Pitt and lost 24 - 3.
Stolich will be putting alot of emphasis on the running game this year rather then putting the ball up in air. Altho they have some very experience capable recievers in Anthony Hackett and Scott Mayle along with Tight End Dave Cody.
If Stolich's team and run on the panthers they just might stand a chance this evening.....But after last week shocking lost to the Irish i see the Panthers keeping their focus on this bobcat teams as they have the Cornhuskers next and surely don't want to start the season 0 - 2 headed into Lincoln.

    Pitt Panthers - 14.0
    Pitt/ Ohio - UNDER 47.5

    GAME TWO-

NEVADA WOLF PACK- Chris Ault returns to the Wolf Pack where he lead prior wolfpack teams to 7 conference titles and a 163 -63-1 record from 1976- 1992 and 1994-1995. He is in the college football hall of fame.
    Nevada returns 14 starters and a returning Q.B. from last years 5 - 7 team. The wolfpack is 7 - 3 ATS aganist non-conference opponents. Nevada has a 7 -48 - 4 straight up record aganist the Pac 10. But are 4 - 0 ATS since 2000.
Nevada's 5 wins last year all came at home where they were a perfect 5 -0 but 0 - 6 on the road......This is only the second time in 6 years the wolf pack is opening the season at home. They are 2 -1 in lined games opening up with the first home game. This team is a more veteran group as they only lose 15 lettermen and second fewest in te lague and are now in the second year o the Air Wolf offense.
They have interstate Rival UNLV next week and lets hope Washington St. isn't a distraction this week.

WASHINGTON ST. COUGARS- Bill Doba starts his 3rd season in Pullman, Washington. Under Doba the cougars are 3 - 10 ATS after a straight up win....And they did beat Idaho last week 38 -26.......
St. returns 15 players with 9 on offense including a returning Q.B in Josh Swogger. St. the last 7 years as a away favorite are 9 - 5 ATS. I don't see the cougars looking ahead to next week as they are playing Grambling in Seattle.
Doba has been known for that fearsome defense his cougars has played in past years when he was the defensive cordinator. But am concerned about the 26 pts given up to lowly Idaho.
I think they will stifen up that defense this week on the road against the wolfpack team who is playing their first game.

    WASHINGTON ST- 9

    WASH ST./ NEVADA - UNDER 59

    Good luck !
