i was just saying the same thing about the astros on friday. why would you sit bagwell and kent? ever? come the end of the year when they are 1 game out of the wild card will they remember losing to the brewers in april? baseball players don't need days off. they don't even have practices after spring training. what a joke. I'd be pissed if the brewers were good and pulled that shit. Actually, the crew is 8-5 since the 0-6 start. thank god they aren't keeping up with the tigers.

you should ever sit a star player (other than the obvious: injury, death in the family, crabs from a hooker (Darryl Strawberry)) is when they are in hellacious slump. BUT Barry Bonds occasionally sits and it seems to work well, but he's old and I guess the emotional strain of having to hit a homerun every time up gets to him. I guess sitting revamps the juices in some ways? Don't see it justifying sitting Nomar or Manny though.
