Startin' it off Friday night w/ a late parlay:
10:00 PM Nevada +9.5 parlayed w/ UNDER 58.5
Nevadas defense will be much improved this year. They have a good set of starting LB's and they return both corners and one of their best defenders at safety. They should be rarein' to go for their home opener. I see this game being closer than most expect w/ a total in the 45 point range.
TOP PLAYS for the BIRD:
Noon Sat. Va. Tech -20 at Duke
Bud Foster and his defense are not happy about giving up 438 yards last week, 200+ after TEN missed tackles. Two days of tackling drills in Blacksburg on a short week will fix that. They will be raring to go, not good for an anemic Duke offense. Frank Beamer said they were too conservative w/ Vick and the offense last week. He vowed to open things up this week, not good for Duke. This game will be over at half. And in the 2nd half, VT's second team is still a lot better than Duke's starters. This game has all the makings of a good ole' behind the barn ass whoopin'. Anything under 21 points is a solid play.
3:30pm Iowa -9 at Iowa State
In a bitter intrastate rivalry, the Cyclones are surely to put forth a valiant effort in front of a sold out home crowd. With that being said, Iowa is a serious contender for the Big 10 title and is loaded on both sides of the ball. They crushed Ball State in their opener and they will show no mercy on their in-state rivals here. Cyclones will get beat up and their lunch money taken.
7:00pm N. Texas +4 at Middle TN State
Let's see, the MEAN GREEN have won 25 straight Sun Belt Conference games. They have quite possibly the best tailback combo in college football w/ Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas. And their gettin' 4 points on the road vs. Mid. TN State. The MEAN GREEN run Cobbs and Thomas all night long and make it 26 in a row.
May add a couple more plays by Sat. AM.
GL to all!
