7/10 Point Teasers

I would like to get any of the vet's opinions regarding 7 and 10 point teasers for the football season. The little experience I have regarding football handicapping is that the teasers would work better in the NFL (due to tighter spreads and final scores) than the NCAA (more games prone to blowouts). Any comments, good or bad, are welcome. Thank you.

I think teasers are sucker bets. It's hard enough picking one winner let alone two or more. Even with the additional points.

Frank would be able to give you more extensive numbers, but over the past 2 years on week 1 in the NFL, 45 teams covered the spread within 7 points and 17 teams did not.. If you were to play a 3-team teaser, then your odds of picking a winning teaser from these games would be 38.2%.. My books pay +140 for 3-team 7-point teasers and the break even point for +140 odds is 41.67%.. So the house has a 3.47% advantage.. We would need a larger sample set to get an accurate number though..
