  • NCAA FB for Thurs.

Ok St. is coming off , what seems to be, a less then impressive 15-10 win over 1aa Montana St. (Ranked 16 in 1AA).
Ok St was able to gather 378 yards of Off, 244 on the ground. They were hampered by penalties and a poor third down percentage.
They are learning a new system of offense and now have a game under there belt w/ the system so I look for them to convert a little better on the missed oppertunities.
FAU lost to Kansas on the road. They only averaged 1.9 ypc but were able to score on 2 - 66 yard TD passes.
Ok St gave up 205 yds in the air to Montana st.
So with that said I am looking for Ok St. to win the game but give up approx 21 points and eclipse the listed total of 47.5

FAU / Ok St Over 47.5
    6-4 NCAA FB

          Hold on there Rwall,

"While OSU had a rough outing against the Bobcats from an offensive standpoint, the Cowboys were stout on defense and held MSU to just 254 total yards. In fact, OSU surrendered a mere 49 yards on the ground on 28 attempts (1.8 ypc) and held the Bobcats to just 4-of-14 on third-down opportunities. The defensive effort is made even more impressive when you realize how much the Pokes were on the field because of the ineptitude of the offense. Safety Jamie Thompson was outstanding and was by far the MVP of the contest for the Cowboys, registering 11 tackles (all solo stops), two TFLs, two sacks and a forced fumble. Linebacker Lawrence Pinson chipped in with nine stops, two TFLs, a sack and a team-best three quarterback hurries. OSU's other outstanding linebacker, Paul Duren, finished with eight tackles and was solid in pass coverage.

Quarterback Danny Embick was outstanding in the Owls' first game of the season, completing 20-of-28 passes for 299 yards and three scores. Thomas Parker and Dilvory Edgecomb were his two receivers of choice, as both tallied a touchdown and three receptions. Parker, who was given a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA just prior to the Kansas game, finished with 89 receiving yards while Edgecomb amassed 71 yards. Although the passing attack worked fairly well for the Owls, their running game needs obvious work. FAU rushed for just 70 yards on 37 attempts and Edgecomb was the team's leading ground gainer with only 17 yards. The Owls also converted only 4-of-15 third- down attempts and were successful on just one of their two red-zone visits. "

This mean FAU will not be able to run the ball against the OSU's D. OSU will struggle on the offense, but will be able to run the ball, therefore, controlling time of possession. FAU gave up over 200 yards rushing to K State. FAU will have to pass more and you know what this could lead to. INT.

I say OSU cover and the Under is the play. It may be over, but not because FAU can score 21 points. (I think they will be lucky to score a TD) It is because OSU D will give them great field possitions and possibly INT's
