Well Thai J=Karate brings up a good point- I played this one because I felt they would pull him as soon as they get into trouble- He has pitched like shit and is washed up- But he has two unders with no run support and once he leaves the game early- the bull pen is sound. If it was the other way and Fla bullpen was needed to bail out the starter -no way. Thanks for bringing it up and please don't play if you feel Wash. will ride him out- I just don't see it. Sounds like carpal tunnel- my friend- if your elbows are not supported than the shoulders, neck and wrist/hands are gonna suffer big time. You can ease the pain BlackBeard by putting ice on the 6th and 7th cervicle vertebrae of the spine. This will slow down the inflammation down your arm. If you wish to know more on taking care of it let me know. A nerve impingement happens when you lean your head forward and the shoulders rotate forward. This impingement occurs at sites found one and a half inches distal of the outer elbow crease and into the base of the thumb - go down 1 inch toward the palm and press on these two spots. More later if ya need relief from this pain.

The guy pitching against Oakland is:

George Sherrill, like fellow pitcher Bobby Madritsch, was one of a few pleasant surprises for the Mariners in 2004. Like Madritsch, Sherrill was a former Independent League pitcher who was noticed by scout Charley Kerfeld. A lefthander, Sherrill performed well after a July callup from Triple-A. He was 2-1 with a 3.80 ERA and showed that he can get lefthanded batters out.

Pitching & Defense

Sherrill is a short-arm pitcher with a breaking ball that ranks as a little above average. He hides his fastball well and throws it out of his earhole, much like a catcher. His fastball is sneaky and gets on you quickly. He was shut down in mid- September because of fatigue, but he has been durable during his short career. He's a plus defender with a good pickoff move.
