I'm probably nucking futs to lay this many points on a lower-tier big-12 North team the first game of the season. But I have a feeling this is going to be a severe mismatch. Mangino has a lot of solid returning starters. And he's recruited speed and athleticism from among the jc ranks, even stealing some jr college recruits from KState's traditional recruiting grounds.

FAU's defensive line is undersized and inexperienced. Mangino's O-line is not. I think that is one of the many key places where the Jayhawks will dominate.

I know, Kansas is a basketball school. But Manginos been a big part of two big-12 building projects already, OU and K-State. And he'll get the Jayhawks respectable. They were competetive last year in a lot of big games and will be better this year.
