Alright, college football is finally here. Didn't post last nights plays, but had a good start.... Pounding the under on Vandy/Wake, parlaying Vandy and the under, taking the points w/ E. Michigan and a tough loss w/ Houston plus the points. A nice start to the season. On to Saturday, errr, today:
Top Plays:
BC -2 vs. BYU
BC is poised for a nice year, may even win their division in the ACC w/ a little help. BYU will struggle to score and keep the BC offense off the field. B.C. will dominate the trenches and on the scoreboard.
UTEP -9.5 vs. N. Mexico St.
UTEP will score at will, early and often in a blowout. This one will be over at halftime w/ QB Jordan Palmer and his slew of wideouts putting up huge numbers. They don't play much defense and they won't need to against the Aggies.
Washington/Air Force UNDER 51.5.
Washington is a 1-10 team who will struggle on the offensive side of the ball again this year. Air Force will do what they do best, run the ball.... w/ success which will chew clock. This game is screaming under.
Strong Plays:
E. Caronlina+2 vs. Duke
Duke favored vs. anybody... and on the road? ECU was horrible last year, but Duke sucks every year. The game means more to ECU as they do have some history of winning in football and Duke is Duke in football. Wrong team favored.
Rutgers -2 vs. Illinois
Rutgers is starting to actually put some quality players on the field now and are much improved, albeit they only had one way to go as a program. Illinois is a bad young team and they will find out first hand that Rutgers is an improved program and that they are in for a long year in the Big 10.
Boise State +7.5 vs Georgia
Quite frankly, Boise State may be the better team here, they certainly will be on offense. Georgia will need to run the ball and control the clock to win this game. But I see them being too big headed and proud to do that to win a game against a non SEC opponent. Boise State has everything to play for and nothing to loose. They will be playing to make a statement for themselves and their conference and w/ their offense, should be able to offset their deficiences on defense and pull out a quality win b/t the hedges. Therefore, take the 7.5 points for what they are.... a gift.


My pound it game of the week is the under 41.5 on the Va Tech/ NC State game on Sunday night. I'm throwing it out now cause I think the total will come down some more. I shall provide a write up, in depth, on this game Sunday AM. GL to all today! Peace out!

Well that is one solid card my man. I have the BC winnig in an easy fashion this is the first of many FUBARS by the Linesmakers. As for the Washington/Airforce Under man that is a poundable call. I don't even think it is close. Boise is a hopeful pick not so solid but I was on the same side with you I was leaning on the under in that game which makes me like the spread more

You were correct about Boise State. Wow, didn't factor in Zabransky having 6 turnovers in the first half. Oh well, it was a good day 4-2, hittin' all three top plays in rockin' chair fashion. Should have been a 5-1 day. Anyone who played Rutgers can feel my pain. I can't believe that game went to OT. That was a bad beat. Rutgers up 20 and their kicker missed 4 field goals(can't they revoke his scholarship for shit like that?). Rutgers needs to learn to kick a dog when it's down or it'll get up and bite ya in the ass.

Thanks fellas. I had to take some time off to deal w/ some personal and legal issues. Long story short, this young punk was having an affair w/ my wife. Post pardom syndrome after 2nd child, things a man doesn't understand. I know, I know... it's her pussy and if it wasn't him it would have been someone else. But I'm a mans man so I beat him to w/in an inch of his life. Cost me some nice coin. But it taught him a lesson and if it saves someone else's marriage and family life then it was money well spent. I assure you this individual has a different perspective about chasing married women. Anyway, enough of my problems. GL to all this football season.

Phonepole, if ya must parlay that under... lay the points. Two of the better defenses in the country going at it here. But the HOKIES offense is much more dangerous and they also possess the better kickin' game. The Pack will punt often in this game and the Hokies will probably block one or run one back for a cheap score. I look for the Hokies to do what they know they can do against a defense that gave them fits last year with zone blitzes and 10 sacks. VT will line up and run it down their throat and play great defense as usual. The Packs defense is quick and athletic but undersized. VT's line averages 320 and they have a stable of good backs one of which weighs 232(ie Humes). Add in the Vick factor and I see a 17-6 or 24-3 game. The Pack will have all kinds of trouble moving the ball. In short, VT's defense is plum nasty. The nation will see first hand on ESPN. GL whatever ya do!

Some interesting thoughts on that game.... Charlie and STaylor agreeing with you, RJ and UFGator seem to be playing the line movement.... your logic sounds solid, the under seems like the strong play may take a small parlay... i was looking to play it to with Spiccoli and Frank's Louisville play..... it's gonna be a long season, looking forward to alot of great picks from you and the guys here!!
