  • wagering strategies poll

I am curious as to the structure the people on this board use to bet with. By this I mean what different bet types does everybody use. There was a time when the only wager available was a straight-up pointspread -110. I assume that everybody here utilizes one or more on-line wagering sites that offer many different types of wagers (teasers, moneylines, parlays, pleasers, if win, etc...). It would be unwise to dismiss wholecloth unconventional wager types without thoroughly investigating them.
Personally, I like moneyline parlays and teasers (no more than 3-teams). The rationale is simple; teams dont care how much they win by as long as they win. If you bet the pointspread you are betting for something that is not being competed for on the field. If you bet the moneyline or give up only a couple of points you are assured your team will compete for YOUR wager until the final gun. There is nothing worse than an "oh by the way touchdown" against your second team defense while your team celebrates on the sideline. Teasing an underdog is, I assume, self-explanatory and of obvious worth.
I have had good success the last two seasons using different types of wagers every week. My bet sheet is rather long and I wont bore you with the complete makeup. I will, however, share with you the basic make-up and the teams that I am looking at. I would love to hear how youall structure your "weekend investment portfolio"
I understand that choosing winning sides is by far the most important factor. The most brilliant strategy will always sh*t the bed if you pick losers. Structuring it right will maximize your profits while being conservative enough to minimize risk exposure.

DONT GET ME WRONG...youve still got to have balls but its nice to be smart and still packing grapefruits in your shorts!
