2007 BCS and 2009 BCSCHAMPS 2006 & 2007 NCAA MENSBASKETBALL CHAMPS 2008 & 2010 RAYS BASEBALL AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPS
Thank you to all that responded, and as I said before.... I don't know how to express what I've gone through.... we were so fortunate to be safe and dry. Chuck has a great idea as well...maybe we can make a difference. I know that Jimmy is okay; I talked with him this morning for about an hour or so. He is without power, but said that he should have it back within 1 to 3 days. He is doing well and sends his wishes along to everyone....
Back to Chuck's idea though..... we can help! And we can start right now, right here with our family on this board... I haven't been able to contact Warrior, but I know that his job as a casino dealer has be destroyed. I dont know about his house, or even if he's be online since Sunday, but I do know he has a wife and two or three kids and he WILL need our help. Maybe Spark can set up something for him right here on the board and if you're able to help, please do so. I don't want to pressure anyone, and it shouldn't be an obligation for anyone, but if you can... please do. Whatever you can... let Spark know, and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to get it where it can do the most good for those here that need it. I DO NOT, and when this takes off, I'll be more than happy to help as well.
I don't know when I'll be back online or if I will, they speak of Slidell/New Orleans/Gulfport/Biloxi area and not having power for anywhere from a month to three months! I don't know what is going to happen right now, the semester off? Transfer to LSU? There are a lot of Unknowns at this point, but it's all minor details that don't matter right now... for me, it's 110% balls to the wall 24/7 to get our city back. Just as here, every little bit helps and we're doing the most we can on a personal basis each and everyday.
Chances I will not be back online after day...for about a week, or whenever I can travel back to New Iberia, LA where I am now (150 miles away). God Bless and Stay Stay!
Since about 4:00pm Monday, right after much of the violent storm had passed the city has be united with one goal in mind and that's to help anyone you see out with what you can do, no matter what it is.

Buddy, my father and I along with my two brothers and about 15 other men were laughing about this while we were walking down one of the streets in Slidell doing what we could (cutting trees, freeing roads, helping women and children with water and food).
This is the conclusion we came to upon one of our resting points..... of course I spoke up and said these words I kid you not.... THIS IS OUR YEAR! THE SAINTS WILL HAVE AN ALL ROAD SCHEDULE AND WE'RE DYNAMITE ON THE ROAD! WE ACTUALLY HAVE A SHOT AT GETTING TO THE SUPERBOWL NOW!!! (They suck at home)
I can not express the laughter and the temporary "dreamlike" scene that we had painted for ourselves amongst the debris, the down trees, the 110+ degree temperatures. We were all like children again..... playing in the street, growing up thinking your team is the best in the world! Quite the vacation we needed.
