First off let me tell you that I'm taking my family to the game My daughter is a die hard Pirate fan and will be cheering her little off. The sad part is after the Pirates winning Tuesday, I don't think they have a chance in hell to win. With that said:

Carpenter vs Wells

The Cards swept the Pirates at Pgh on April 18-19..11-1, and 7-1

May23-25, At St Louis....Cards swept.....2-1,11-5, and Carpenter beating Williams 4-2

June 23-25, at St Louis..... They split with Cards winning 8-1 and Carpenter beating Redman 8-0
Pgh winning 11-7 and 5-4

Monday St Louis won 3-1 and today Pgh is beating the Cards up...

I look for Carpenter who pitched into the 8th or 9th inning in his last 7 outings with 9 consectutive decisions.....
While Wells was 1-3-2 in his last 6 games giving up 6,3,2,5,0,1 runs in those games....
