  • Some Nice Info On Tonights MNF Game..

Here is some info as to why i like the Cowboys tonight....

A take that I agree with...

Again, ladies and gentlemen, it’s all about the perception of who wants to win this game more. Seattle already has a pre-season win under their belt and Mike Holmgren has never been one to really care about the pre-season wins and losses. He’s more of a “make sure no one gets hurt” type of coach. The Back-up QB spot in Seattle is

Parcells on the other hand has given indications throughout the media this week that in fact he does want to win this game, and, given Parcells past, he hates to lose in the pre-season.

First it’s worth noting that Parcells set a self-imposed deadline on naming a back-up QB. Tomorrow’s date is that deadline. So, you can bet the Cowboys QB’s will be motivated tonight.

Here’s a recent article from the Cowboys web site:

“Drew Henson will get a chance to stake his claim for the backup job, as the second-year quarterback will be the second quarterback in Monday night's rotation against Seattle. Henson received the most snaps of all three quarterbacks in the Cowboys' preseason opener against Arizona on Aug. 13, and will play some behind the starting line against Seattle, Parcells said.
Parcells said he sometimes prefers to play his No. 2 quarterback third in preseason rotations to provide the player an opportunity to possibly to orchestrate a comeback rally. We'll soon find out if that is the case again this year. “

Sounds like someone who looks to win his pre-season games to me.

The Cowboys are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 as pre-season dogs of 2 > pts

    From the Seahawks camp:

Holmgren mentioned only one "average" practice held this week on Tuesday after which he gave the team the next day off. The team held a short walkthrough on Saturday.

"Holmgren had no regrets about giving the players the day off Wednesday, despite never having done so in his seven training camps as Seahawks coach. The team looked sluggish in the Tuesday practice so Holmgren decided it was time for a break."

Starters are pretty much set and Holmgren wants to set up his substitutions tonight to evaluate key positions on defense and at WR. Seneca Wallace should get a lot of playing time tonight and the the 3rd and possibly even a 4th QB will get in the game tonight.

The Seahawks are running with essentially two healthy RB and might not want to risk any injury to Shaun Alexander who will play probably one quarter tonight.

Adding a little to that Tmac

Dallas has lost 3 preseason games since Parcells took over, he is 3-0 su and ats after those losses with scores of 34-6, 52-13 and 21-20.

Seattle is just the opposite. Afer a win the past 3 years, Seattle is 1-4 su and 0-5 ats with their lone win being 23-21 against Minn. as a 3 pt fav. The losses were ugly 0-31, 7-21, 3-20, and 3-19. Aside from week 1 openers and week 3 " dress rehersal" games Seattle has been terrible in preseason.

But who do they wanna look at tonight Seattle has to know which WR actually wanna catch a football, and actually wanna hold after they catch it. So if you put it all together the over looks like the great bet to me. But JMO
TO BET OR NOT TO BET THAT IS THE QUESTION

Parcells historically is great in pre-season off a loss (look it up). You are right on in your analysis. I like the Cowboys as much as you can like anyone in the unpredictable world of pre-season. Let's bring home a Dallas win
