By now, everyone knows that Haslett will get whacky tonight, and play his starters for 3 quarters. And NE just keeps on winning, even in preseason, under Bellicheck. However, last week's game of NO vs Seattle was interesting. Seattle scored 3 TDs off turnovers, and New Orleans defense actually played decently. New Orleans dominated time of possesion in the first half as well. Bottom line is that New Orleans played very sloppy. The players and an angry Haslett are looking for an improved effort here, and I think they will be the much more motivated team.

Thier defence gave up a tonne on the ground over 200 yards how is that playing good the c lock was killed and they looked like pylons. But gl to you anyway

After New Orleans fumbled at the start of the game, and Seattle went 18 yards for a TD, the next 4 possesions for Seattle resulted in punts. The first five drives of Seattle resulted in yards gained of 18, 10, 19, 8, and 4 yards. When the backups started rotating in, the flood gates opened.

The defense played decently early on, but the backups allowed most of the damage. And if New Orleans plays their starters deep into the game, then the damage allowed by the backups will be limited. Of course, the offense of New Orleans struggled early in that first game, but I expect them to be more focused tonight.

I am convinced that I gained a few more gray hairs tonight. But back to the plus side.
