5 years off my life....

this is why i have the utmost respect for the people that come on to this site every night and put their picks on the line..........i cant go through shit like that 9th inning every night.........i am going to bed and not even going to think about this crap for a week

a funny aside--->in the 5th inning, i am just sitting here on my couch (with my dog) already in a panic mode b/c it is 3-2, and suddenly out of nowhere, this couple just stops by, to make it worse, the dude is one of these guys that knows nothing about sports and then proceeds to watch the rest of the game with me asking such things as "i thought the astros had rainbow color uniforms" and "the cubs still haven't won the world series yet, right".....all the while my fiancee and her friend (who is actually pretty hot) are just sitting in the other room, drinking wine and laughing, unknown to all that i have a zillion dollars on the game...so try and imagine what this was like for me...... funniest part of all was as the game ended, my fiancee was like "i'm sorry they lost" (b/c i am a die hard astros fan)..............if she only knew............

Great story....been there numerous times, my friend. Usually it's like, why are you watching this Devil Rays/Mariners game when it's 7 to 2? I use the old, "I've got this guy on my fantasy team" line.....she must think I have a roster of 154 people.

the funny part is that i am not in any way exaggerating that story and the painfulness of watching the game with this dude, he kept bringing up things about what he would do with the inside of my house, talking about his job, etc. etc.......in a strange turn of events, he is actually a relatively cool guy although he does represent 1 of only 2 male friends i have that do not like sports

at this current moment, my fiancee is trying to figure out why after the loss to the cubs last night, i was in a rage, and tonight i am in a good mood..........you think she would learn after all this time........i dont know , maybe it is just me, but i would probably get a clue if my significant other (me, in this case) was often spotted awake at 12:15 a.m. watching TVG and rooting for horses at los alamitos

now i am really going to bed, glad everyone won
