Dan, GL on the Vargas train, but what you really need to check out is the Locomotive we have up here in the great Northwest. Felix Hernandez.
He pitched yesterday and embarassed the horrible Royals. I know that isn't saying much, but his next three starts are supposed to be againt the Twins, White Sox, and Yankees. We should find out by then what kind of pitcher he is.
97-98 mph fastball, wicked curve, and a 85 mph change up. The best thing this kid has done is keep everything down in the strikezone. 21 strikeouts, 3 walks, and 11 hits allowed in his three starts. Of the 11 hits he has given up, all of them have been singles...
