Sandman, I just want to add my two cents in regards to your ego being stroked. Take the advice of Wayne and RJ and get involved in the forum. It only takes a few minutes a day to go around the board and wish fellow BCers Good Luck on their plays. Throw in a joke every once in awhile, or better yet some nude women posts! When I first joined BC and started posting I averaged about 40-50 hits. Once I started to interact the views tripled. Anyway keep up the good research and posts. All the best to you.

BrezzeEaze and the others who also mentioned that I need to get more involved in the forum. While I understand what you are saying, there are a couple of reasons why I can't always get more involved. The first reason is time. I am so behind in other things that I don't always have the time. It already takes an hour or more to find and put my picks together. I've got over 60 hours of things on my Tivo that I haven't had time to watch. The other reason is one I have no control over. I had both my shoulders replaced 4 years ago. The right replacement has already worn out and there are times I can't sit at my computer more than 5 to 10 minutes at a time before it starts hurting too much. Other times, like yesterday, it may not bother me as much and I can sit here longer. Right now my shoulder is so bad, probally from yesterday, that I've spent over 20 minutes so far, just writing this short reply. I need to keep laying down or find a way to keep my right arm straight until it starts hurting less. It's becomming more apparent that I need to have another surgery to re-replace my right shoulder. For a lot of reasons, I have been trying to put surgery off. One reason is the more times I have to have my shoulder replaced, the less the chance that it's going to work as well. There were a couple of days recently when I started to call my doctor to schedule surgery but didn't. Plus, I can't believe there are people who like being in the hospital. Not me. OK, now for the real reason I don't want to have surgery again. The hospital dosen't have cable.
Guys, I will honestly try to make an effort to get more involved and as someone said yesterday that you are all good guys, I am too. I just can't figure out how some of you can spend so much time posting.

Last season I started posting my NBA in early February. It was weeks before many members started paying attention. Everyday I'd give a wrap-up on how I did with my picks the night before. Win or Lose. Once a week I'd posted my record. If you are a quality capper you won't get noticed unless you post your record.
Do you post plays to get recongnized or to help others?

Sandy- As a Doc with little time - I generally get on the site instead of going to the bathroom or dealing with a subordinate. This way I don't piss off anybody (that may want to use the bathroom or talk down to a patient or worker ). I do feel a little moist at times- but I am starting to like it. My cousin Larry was around 4 years old when I was a kid visiting his home. He had brightly colored flowers on his sheets. One night - we were all sleeping and there was a full moon coming thru the window. Larry woke up and started yelling- Froatin' Frowers- Froatin' Frowers Everywhere.- Yeaaahh- Little Larry had wet the Bed.
Sandy, may I add somethin- You probably do this- But I will still bring it up. Your head jutting forward- your shoulders rounded- your computer screen middle being at eye level- if not stick a phone book under it- your elbows not fully supported by your chair arms are all solid reasons for your pain. Your shoulders - mostly your supraspinatis, infraspinatis, Teres, and subscapularis muscles are the muscles around your rotator cuff mainly- it has spasms and a blood deficiency to those areas. Could be like more of a frozen shoulder- where if normal the arm rising and scapula rotation has a 2:1 ratio. I know the adhesions or scar tissues aid in this deficiency of blood - so surgery is not the correct thing at this time. If it was me having this- I would check the positions and if in pain - apply ice to the C6 /C7 area for 15 minutes only and repeat 45 minutes from the end of the last. Originally posted by thesandmanFrank. If you had read my post, you would have seen that I post my record daily, both games won, which dosen't matter in baseball and units won, which does matter. The main reason for my note in the first place, was to say I post for both reasons. Did you even read my note before replying.
You didn't answer my question. After reading this reply and the reason for this post it seems clear. You are seeking attention. If you want attention create threads with glamorous titles. LOCK! GOW! GOM!
Continue posting and if you continue to win you'll get the attention you are seeking. For me it wasn't about the attention I got on this site. It was about winning money for myself and the other members. The fact that I won a boat load of money playing baskets was good enough for me.

Hey Sandy - Leakys first post is to you- Impressive. The views number close to a thousand- That means a hot debatable issue is on the board or members like cuttin the fool on it. For every posted reply - there are at least a dozen or more views. In this thread 60 posts nearly and 920... counting views. You do the math. Frank is right here. I never started a thread as GOW GOY or whatever- there are no lock games- just ones that are a perception of greatness.Last edited by Spearit; 08-17-2005, 03:16 PM."The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice.
