Eagles +3.5 (-125) @ Steelers 1*
I will be going with the least talked about team in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles, in this one. Philadelphia is 8-4 ATS as an underdog in the preason under Andy Reid. They find themselves in that position tonight as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are just 1-5 ATS in preseason homes games the last 3 seasons. I am hoping that the Eagles will be looking to put their recent off field distractions (At least, I think they are having some off field distractions. I'm not sure, the media never really talks about it...) behind them and get the season off to a good start tonight. The trends definitely point towards an Eagles cover in this one, but I still decided to buy the half point and give myself 3.5. All 3 of my losses in preseason play have been by a field goal, and 5 of my 7 games so far have been decided by 3 points or less. Only makes sense to get that extra cushion.
