i got this from another site but i also have had a bad experience from pinicle. bet on a coupled entry in a horse race (1 & 1A) the 1A won and they wouldn't pay saying I bet on the #1.
-----------------------------
I know you've heard a million time how good Pinnacle is supposed to
be....and I heard the same stuff.
Then, today, the truth about them came out.
I was trying to make a 7 team round robin bet for $1,000 and after
clicking the "submit bet" button I was informed by the screen that I
had a 7 team parlay....in other words a virtual sure loser, not the 7
team round robin I had wanted.
I immediately emailed Pinnacle (the REFUSE to talk to you on the
telephone, but claim to respond instantly to emails) explaining what
had happened and asking that they either convert the bet into the round
robin I had requested, or just cancel the bet.
I joked with my wife that what a crooked book would do is just not
answer for a long time...waiting for the first game to start, then just
say "sorry, too late, thanks for the thousand bucks, sucker".
Amazingly, that's exactly what Pinnacle did. No comment by email and
when I telephoned the only number they show....which is supposed to be
for new victims to open accounts with Pinnacle, they told me SORRY,
nobody will talk to you, send an email.
Finally, they sent me an email filled up with obfuscatious double talk,
asking for the "ticket number"...which is wholly idiotic as I gave them
my account number in the first place and had only made one bet, so they
could easily have looked it up themselves......but it did manage to
kill more time, allowing the one game that had started to almost finish
(naturally, it lost).
They could EASILY have solved this problem before any games
started.....or even after the first game had started, but they did
EXACTLY what i had joked only a bunch of crooks would do, ignore my
email complaining that THEIR website had screwed up my original
bet...just long enough to tell me to go fuck off.
I know you'll get people responding to this telling you how good
Pinnacle are....but take it from me, if they cheat YOU, you won't care
that other people told you that Pinnacle were ok.
There are books on the net that would NEVER treat their customers that
way...and that would take a telephone call from a customer.
I'd suggest 10 other books before I would recommend Pinnacle to anyone.
Beware.
