Special "Thank You" from my Heart

Guys first of all, I'm a big guy, 6'4 and 230#'s, have been to and served in a Major war, have endured hard times, and yet I portray a "Rock"....I tried to pass optimism and belief in "making things happen", "make em work"....I don't show much emotion at most times.....I'm known as a person thats "hard to rattle"....(might not guess that by some of my posts--ha ha)...

Well, I had a total "meltdown" when I read your guys posts...Hard to type when you have watery eyes...(thats as close as you're gonna get as an reference to tears--ha ha)...

You guys are the greatest....You don't know how much I really need that lift and support (kinda like a "cross your heart" bra....You guys did the Job....Thank you all from the bottom of my heart...(rotted out as it may be, it still has feelings)

UPDATE---Shane had 6 1/2 hr surgery, they removed part of his esophagus, and 1/2 of his stomach...Took out a 8 x 7 CM growth....Doctor microscopicly looked at the Lymph node and said "it appeared to look good and not inflamed"...took a biopsy and we are awaiting results....prognosis looks good.....

UPDATE---Steen---fever came down from 102.7 to normal....swelling in entire body has ceased....Itching and rash has gotten less....Only thing that is still troubling Drs is the (apparent bite) on the lower. back side of his right arm---about 2 x 3 " is still inflamed, discolored, and is now blistering...ugly as hell...but the good news is, they marked it off when he first got there, and it has not grown or spread...Medicine appears to be stopping it or slowing it down...

just read this thread......i am sorry to hear of the bad luck bestowed on your families, but it seems to have gotten better.....i know with cancer it is a wait and see, but if the lymph nodes are clear that is a good sign......my prayers and wishes are with you,

Been waiting all day for an update Karl. I didn't want to call your cell phone and bother you while you had all this going on. So glad to hear good news. The spider bite will be ok, the Dr.'s these days know how to handle that and it seems as if he didn't have any major reactions to it. As for the esophogus, that's a lot more serious. Karl you know if you ever need anything, a shoulder to lean on, a place to stay, money, or just a friend I"m always here for you buddy. you are a great friend to me and I would do anything in my power for you. I've said 3 prayers already today for you and your family, hopefully some of them are being answered! Keep us up to date every step of the way! It makes you feel good to see all the support you have from guys that 99% of them you've never even met! Get well and take care of the family! Don't forget, you're the glue holding all them together, stay strong for them!
